Daniela es una joven de 28 años, hija única de madre soltera, estudiando derecho con el sueño de ser abogada, fue diagnosticada en el 2016 con Leucemia Linfoblástica Aguda B, se inicia tratamiento con quimioterapia para combatir la leucemia por 3 años. La leucemia regresa en marzo 2020, cuando se preparaba para estudiar sus privados para obtener su título de abogada y notaria. Continua con su tratamiento, logrando remisión completa.
Sin embargo, en marzo 2021, regresa la leucemia nuevamente ya convirtiéndose en una segunda recaída, con un pronóstico de alto riesgo, cuya única oportunidad de vida, es un transplante de médula ósea, el cual no se hace en Guatemala. En Guatemala, a nivel privado y público ya no existe ningún tratamiento curativo, solo paleativo.
Por este motivo, hay que trasladarse a México, hacer todos los análisis, encontrar un donante no emparentado, para poder realizar el transplante de médula ósea, pero el costo es muy alto $200,000 .00 .Monto que no tiene para poder realizarlo por cuenta propia, dado que desde el 2016, vendieron todo lo que pudieron, los ahorros de toda una vida se acabaron, por lo costoso que ha sido el tratamiento y solo viven del salario de la madre.
