Help Dan Fight Cancer:Funding for treatment & hope

Hi everyone, it’s Tim here! I wanted to reach out to you and share something really important with all of you. I’m currently running a fundraiser to support my dear friend Dan who is fighting a tough battle with cancer. We’re raising funds to help cover the costs of his treatment, end of life care, and provide him with the hope he needs. Your contribution no matter how big or small, can make a real difference in his journey.

Dan’s story - This is something you can never expect one minute you have just turned 30, love your job and just moved in with your partner planning your future together. The next your life has been turned upside down you can no longer work, it is heartbreaking that Dan can no longer pursue his passion for cars and his job alongside his treasured hobby fishing. The future has been pulled from underneath him and he is now living with the uncertainty of not knowing how long he has have left to live.

After having a cough long after covid, many hospital appointments and perseverance in July 2022, Dan an active gym goer, non smoker and generally all round fit and healthy lad was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer. As it stands all treatment has been exhausted since Dan became unresponsive to targeted treatments , and second line treatment stopped working after less than a month. Therefore, Dan is no longer on any treatment and is in excruciating pain and his mentality is severely affected. Dan is waiting again for the next chemotherapy sessions with the possibility of going onto clinical trials however, time is against him as this won’t be till next year. Dan, his family and friends are devastated, the lesion on the liver has completely collapsed his lung. Let’s come together to support Dan in looking at his mobility options, and making his time left with us memorable, please let’s show him how much he means to us. His devoted wife and family have been an incredible source of strength and support throughout his journey. They have stood by his side, providing love, care and encouragement every step of the way. Their unwavering dedication and selflessness are truly inspiring, by raising this money we can help ease the financial burden on his wife and family allowing them to be there for him emotionally and physically.
