Help Dan Fight Cancer

On February 9, Dan was taken to Methodist Hospital by a co-worker as he was having trouble with speech and coordination at work. The doctors began running multiple tests over the next couple of days and it was determined that he had two tumors on his brain. The doctors performed a biopsy on February 12 and had Dan begin speech therapy and occupational therapy while he and his family awaited the results of the biopsy.
On February 18, Dan's wife Kristi received a call with results of the biopsy. The biopsy came back showing the tumors are malignant, and from there the doctor set a meeting on next steps with Kristi. During that waiting period Dan remained at the care facility.
On February 25, Kristi and Dan met with his doctor and determined that Dan would begin radiation treatment to reduce the swelling of the tumors and, on February 26, the doctors met with Dan again to go over the mapping of the tumors.
Arrangements have been made for Dan to come home and receive chemo and radiation treatment at home. Twenty-four-hour care has been arranged, so that Dan can be comfortable and rest at home.
As you may know, Kristi has also experienced some health issues over the years making it impossible for her to provide necessary care for Dan at home. Dan’s care team is working hard to schedule 24-hour care so that he and Kristi can stay in their home, but this is proving to be incredibly expensive.
At this time we ask you to keep Dan in your prayers and to please donate what you can to help him get the care that he needs.
