Help Dad With Medical Costs
Donation protected
Hello, family and friends,
My dad, John, received a LVAD or Left Ventricle Assistance Device on Monday, April 9th. It is basically a heart pump to help Dad's heart keep the blood flowing. One end attaches to the left ventricle, The other end attaches to the aorta. The drive-line comes out of the body and is plugged into the batteries or a power socket. It is requires a constant power source to keep it working,
We are so thankful for the science, the technology, and the skilled doctors and team members who have made this device available to extend Dad's life.
This gofundme is to raise money for a back-up-generator so Dad can come home. Dad will need this when he get home in hopefully a month's time. The cost will be approximately $12,000 to buy the generator he needs and to have it installed. This generator will turn on automatically upon any loss of power. It also has maintenance alerts to contact the power company and manufacturing reps if a problem is detected. Installation will require extensive changes to the existing electrical system and gas lines in my parent's home.
Any additional funding raised past the target goal will go directly toward Dad's medical fees.
Thank you for you time and your support to help my Dad and our family,
Catherine
