Help Cusco Guide Juan Carlos Juro become a Baker

Donation protected
Hello my name is Juan Carlos Juro Korawa ,

I was a adventure tourism adventure guide in Cusco, Peru. I worked at Amazonas Explorer for more than 10 years, I had great time learning the philosophy and policy of Amazonas Explorer and the commitment to the environment and sustainability.

I live in Cusco with my family, my wife Janet, my 10 years old daughter Qoyacha, my 8 years old daughter Sami, my 3 years old son Juan Carlitos, my dear Mother and Father who both need special health care.

Thanks to Covid19, I'm  now  trying to produce cakes, breads and cookies to support my family.

We do our family work in a traditional way, taking orders from our neighbours and using 100% natural ingredients, which is a real attraction for everyone.

To make products with organic ingredients is much appreciated by our clients,  with my wife and I making the deliveries during the day,  on foot, respecting all biosafety protocols and using biodegradable materials for all our packaging

OUR PROJECT

We want to increase our production capacity whist maintaining the quality of our product.

This is why I need your donations to invest in buying equipment that will help move this project forward:

LIST OF EQUIPMENT

S/. 4400              5  OVEN TRAYS                    £952

S/. 3000              1  x 15 Kilo MIXER                $ 650

SUPPLIES

We buy all our supplies from friends who produce locally in the nearby countryside (corn flour, milk, butter)

Our goal is also to eliminate plastics in the production and delivering of the products.

We continue learning and  hope to continue with this small company to help me support of my family. At least until I can welcome you back as a tourist guide and show you the wonders of my beautiful country again.

Warm hugs.

From the Juro  family.

How it works:

I, Paul Cripps, owner of Amazonas Explorer have agreed to help set up these Gofundme crowdfunding pages for my guides who are struggling to make ends meet whilst the tourism industry implodes in Peru. We hope it will be back one day soon, but for now, they need to reinvent themselves in order to feed their families.

The funds will be collected here in the UK into my account and then I will pay the exact equivalent in Peruvian soles from my Peruvian account into their personal accounts to minimise bank transfer fees and exchange rate fluctuations.

I will also personally contribute the first $150 of each proposal to help them get started. This will be donated directly into their accounts to avoid charges.

Our guides provide a big part of the magic of any trip to Peru and it is their personal touches, professionalism, wit and charm that makes each trip they guide unforgettable.

So,  if you enjoyed your trip to Peru with one of our guides, please give what you can.

I know times are difficult everywhere but these guides are true heroes, their projects are borne out a desire to survive this pandemic and come out the other side better for the experience.

If you can't donate, please share and spread the word to help them achieve their goals.

Let me take this opportunity to thank you so much for anything you can do.
