Help Cover Jaykwon's Medical Expenses

On Wednesday, June 24th, 2020 at 1:30 P.M, JayKwon Hosey, 25, was involved in a nine-vehicle car accident on I-75 South, including two semi-trucks. As a result, there were two individuals that passed away, one being Jaykwon's girlfriend, Jhanae. This accident left Jaykwon severely injured. He has suffered a broken pelvis and damage to his urethra, back, and to his foot. Jaykwon is currently in the hospital, where he has undergone multiple surgeries. Ultimately, these operations will be costly and any help would be be a blessing. 

Our brother, Jaykwon Hosey is a Senior at the University of South Florida, majoring in Africana Studies with plans to graduate this summer. Jaykwon has been an active student on campus, being a member of organizations such as Progressive Black Men, Incorporated, and the Theta Gamma Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, in which he has served as President for the 2019-2020 academic school year. He has also been the Vice President of the Black Student Union during the 2018-2019 academic school year, has created his own organization in order to provide a safe space for Black men at USF (Black Man's Candor), and has served on Student Government as the Supervisor of Elections.

Jaykwon is an individual who cares for his family, friends, and his community in Tampa, Florida. The donations made in this fundraiser are going to aid him in his recovery and the therapy that will ensue afterwards. Again, we truly appreciate any help that is given to our brother during these trying times for Jaykwon and his loved ones.
