Help courtney gain her private pilot license (ppl)
Hi my name is courtney, I am 18 years old I have been an aspiring pilot ever since I was 5 years old when I took my first flight on an easy jet plane and the pilot let me sit in the cockpit and also allowed me to turn the steering wheel, since then I have involved myself in programs such as fantasy wings which are an organisation for women and BAME (Black, Asian & Minority Ethnic) youth in hopes to get one step closer to my dream, the outcome left me to raise £20000 to pay for my ppl (private pilot license), which I’d like to use to become a pilot instructor and help other aspiring pilots who don’t have the means. this has been a dream of mine which felt impossible coming from a low-income single-parent home, after completing my 2-year engineering course in a year and completing my fantasy wings aviation programme my dream has started to feel closer to being a reality. Only 6% of women are pilots and only 3% are of BAME with those statistics I know it is really hard to get into the industry and I’ll have to work extremely hard. The training costs are a very big barrier for us aspiring pilots which means we need all the help we can get and full commitment. I aim to raise at least 20k to help with the costs and I would appreciate any help given towards my future.
