Help Cortney Long (33) beat cancer!

On July 18th 2018 Cortney Trace Long (Burkett), a vibrant, loving, healthy, full of life young woman received the worse news of her life. She was told she was diagnosed with HER2-Positive Breast Cancer which is more aggressive than other forms of breast cancer. She received this horrible news 2 days before her and her husband Barrett were scheduled to leave for a 2 week trip down the whole coast of California to celebrate their 5 year wedding anniversary. Doctors informed Cortney that she wouldn’t be able to do this trip which her and Barrett had been planning for almost a year. Due to the aggressive nature of this cancer, surgery was scheduled immediately for Thursday August 2nd. Cortney will need to have a full Mastectomy followed by extensive Chemotherapy for about a year. This life altering news will not only cause emotional and physical scars but a tremendous financial burden to Cortney and Barrett as well. Cortney would never ask anyone for financial help. She is very self sufficient and has been all her life. But we, her family are asking for something she would never ask for. We are asking all our friends, family, and anyone who has a sympathetic ear to please help to relieve the financial burden that this horrific medical journey will take them on. We are hoping and praying that one year from now, Cortney will receive the news that she is cancer free, and debt free and that her and Barrett will then be able to finally go on an amazing trip to celebrate their 5 year Anniversary.
