Help Connie Smith & Her Family

Seven years ago, my husband Smitty was diagnosed with Dementia, which now has turned into Alzheimer's.  Not being able to work, he stays at home.  His Social Security income is minimal, and does not cover many of our monthly bills.  We are working with a local agency to help with Smitty's care so he dosen't have to stay at home unattended.  We are hopeful this service will start soon.

In mid November, my son Johnathan was diagnosed with Synovial Sarcoma, a very rare cancer affecting mostly young people.  This was discovered after surgery to remove a softball size tumor from his shin.  We have an appointment at Moffit Cancer Center in Tampa next week to discuss treatment alternatives, but the early prognosis does not look very favorable.   

Most recently, I was informed by my landlord the house we are living in has been sold and we must vacate by December 15th.  

I have always found a way to make it through rough times.  However, my tough times have become overwhelming due to health issues involving my family members and now having to find living quarters for my family during the height of the tourist and holiday seasons.

Speaking with my friends, they suggested the "Go Fund Me" program, and after reviewing the history and success of the program, I decided to give it a try.

I could really use your support in helping me to get through the next several months.  Hopefully during this time, Smitty will be receiving the assistance he so desperatley needs, and Johathan's treatment and prognosis will be more  defined.
