Our beloved dad, Clyde Ward, a cherished teacher and pillar of our community, suffered a hemorrhagic stroke on June 21, 2024. He is currently undergoing treatment and has had multiple surgeries in Maryland, over 500 miles away from home in Greensboro, NC.

While Clyde is on the road to recovery, his journey requires him to be closer to family for support and continued therapy. We are aiming to raise $12,000 to cover the medical and transport expenses needed to bring him back home.

Clyde isn't just a patient recovering from a stroke. He's an amazing father, a loving husband, and a dedicated educator who has inspired innumerable young minds for nearly 18 years as an 8th grade social studies teacher in North Carolina.

Clyde's impact extends far beyond the classroom walls. He has dedicated countless hours to coaching multiple school teams – soccer, basketball, and football. His enthusiasm and dedication on the field mirrored his commitment to his students' success.

Dad's impact goes even deeper. He is the founder of the Mustache Fraternity, an after-school program dedicated to empowering young men to serve their community by volunteering their time and attending events they wouldn't have had the opportunity to experience on their own. Through the Mustache Fraternity, Clyde has instilled a sense of responsibility, compassion, and civic engagement into so many young men, shaping them into well-rounded individuals.

As a husband and father, his absence leaves a void in our family. We miss his smile and laugh, his support, and the warmth he brings us all.
