Help Clovercroft stay open!

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Jessica Croussette, and I am fundraising to help save a local barn. Clovercroft is home to countless horses and over 40 riders. It opened its doors in 1996 with Renée Lafleur at the helm. Renée is an educated equestrian from Guelph University, a fantastic competitor leading her students to the Top 10 in various competitions, and most of all, a lover of horses. Her first client was a mom looking for help for her son, having heard of horse therapy and its benefits to children. Having grown up around horses her whole life, Renée instantly said yes. Since opening its doors, Clovercroft has allowed hundreds of students of all ages to learn to care for horses, train with horses, win competitions with horses, and, most importantly, heal with horses. Clovercroft has also been lucky enough to provide services to multiple generations of families.

As a "Barn mom" myself, I cannot begin to describe the impact Renée and her team have had on my daughter's life. Not only has her anxiety diminished, but her confidence has soared! The barn has taught her responsibility, accountability, compassion, and other essential life skills. The children and individuals at Clovercroft are more than just riders. They are a very close nit community, a family, and a team.

However, recent events have threatened to close the doors of our wonderful home away from home. Therefore, as mothers, fathers, friends, and children of Clovercroft, we gather today to ask for your help. We ask that you find it in your hearts to donate to the barn and allow services to continue. As one of the only barns in town offering lessons, we ask for your help to continue a tradition as old as time, that of an individual and their horse. Allow our children and adults to continue developing their skills and their healing.

If you donate, your money will help with immediate financial struggles, such as essentials for horses, equipment for riders, and barn maintenance, as well as extra winter costs as we fight to remain open.

As we wish to remain transparent with you, we acknowledge that the circumstances surrounding our struggle can create divided opinions. However, we urge you to consider our local equestrian community and its importance in our town. We wish to preserve an experience essential to the riders of Clovercroft. By keeping the doors open, we allow many current and future riders and their families the chance to develop skills, passions, and friends they may not find anywhere else. Please help us reach our goal!
