Help Cindy go to Uni Games and Junior Worlds

Hi, my name is Cindy Truong. I am an Australian Karate Athlete that has recently been selected for the FISU University Games and the WKF Cadet, Junior and U21 World Championships 2022. Both of these events are held in Turkey and are one month apart.
I have been doing karate for 13 years and started competing 5 years ago. I compete in both Kumite and Kata at a National level. This year, I have had the opportunity to excel in Kumite at an International level. In June, I got the chance to compete at the Oceania Championships held in New Caledonia and brought home a gold medal for Australia.
To be selected to compete at these international tournaments are incredible opportunities, however they are very expensive to pay as a full-time student. All athletes are to fully self-funded these tournaments. This includes travel costs, accommodation, registration fees, equipment and the official team tracksuits.
Leading up to these big competitions, I have done many other tournaments this karate season and it has all been fully self-funded. My family have been my biggest support; funding my expenses and I am very grateful and appreciate them so much.
I am currently studying full-time at Latrobe University doing a Bachelors in Sport and Exercise Science. This is my last year before I graduate and I am hoping to move into the Master of Physiotherapy Practice after. I also currently work casually to help pay for karate and studies.
The money raised will help go towards my two Turkey trips that are a month apart:
Travel: ~ $3,500 per trip
Accomodation: ~ $800
Competition and other fees: ~ $700
Food and other expenses: ~ $500
This leads to a total of approximately $10,000 for two trips.
I will appreciate any support that is given to help me compete for Australia at both the FISU University Games and the WKF Cadets, Junior and U21 World Championships 2022.
Thank you for your support,
Cindy Truong
