Christine Pica needs our help

Our very good friend, animal lover, and all around awesome chick, Christine Pica, was recently put in a situation that turned a dream vacation into a nightmare.
As some of us all ready know, our friend's mother suffered a critical stroke all the way down in Florida while Christine was en route to Italy to visit her boyfriend's family on the evening of June 25th, 2017, a Sunday.
She was unaware of the situation as it unfolded since she was mid-air on a redeye flight. It wasn't until she landed that she got the news, and the doctors informed her that her mother's time was short.
She was not going to make it.
The airline insurance that Christine and Alberto had purchased was useless in this situation as they scrambled to find the quickest way possible from Rome to Orlando.
After having to make a connecting flight from Rome to Ireland and then from Ireland to Orlando with barely any sleep, Christine was finally able to make it to say goodbye to her mother in person in the early morning hours of Tuesday, June 27 2017.
Sadly, her mother passed away shortly after. She was surrounded by loved ones.
Those last-minute airplane tickets ALONE were $3,000 in addition to all the other expenses that come from an unexpected emergency.
I know if we get together we can help offset some of these costs during an extremely difficult time in our friend's life.
Even if you don't know Christine personally, I'm sure you can sympathize with what it must feel like to be dealt such a shock when you're halfway across the world.
I heartily thank everyone who participates and helps a wonderful person out in a time of need.
