Help Charlie! **Fight** stage (IV)-Bladder Cancer

Donation protected
It is with a very heavy heart, I write this about my new brother in law Charlie.

Charlie Eimer, a newlywed (married to my sister Katie) and loving father of his son Spencer age 11, was diagnosed with cancer on May 29th, 2019.   Charlie has stage (IV) Urothelial carcinoma which is a type of bladder cancer that in his case is affecting his kidney and ureter mainly.   Charlie started a very intense chemotherapy regimen last week called dense MVAC (four chemo drugs) this was an aggressive treatment option to try and shrink his lymph nodes and ease his pain.   The initial high dose of chemo caused his kidney to shut down.   They are stopping chemo at this time and will be exploring alternate treatment options for Charlie.

Charlie and my sister Katie (Nowak) were engaged on January 27th, 2019 and were happily planning a December 27th, 2019 wedding. However, in light of this development Charlie and Katie decided to marry earlier so they can fight this together as a married couple.  Charlie and Katie were married on June 1st, 2019 in a private ceremony in Avon, OH.

Charlie has experienced extreme leg and back pain since early May and was initially seeking treatment from a chiropractor.  Before being diagnosed Charlie did not understand what was causing his intense pain.  After a few treatments and no improvement the chiropractor recommended an MRI.  We now understand this intense pain was a result of the cancer spreading into the lymph nodes squeezing the nerves in his leg and back.   Since early May when the initial symptoms appeared Charlie has been unable to work and provide for his son and new bride.    My sister, with help from immediate family, is currently caring for Charlie.  Katie is doing the best she can juggling her day shift as a nurse at the Cleveland Clinic and night caring for and exploring the best possible treatment options for Charlie.

Charlie needs your support, prayers, and donations to help him and his family through these rough days ahead.   We are requesting donations as soon as possible to help with all aspects of his treatment and any care he may require in the future.

This sudden diagnosis has been devastating to Charlie, Katie and all of our family.
Any small donation would be appreciated to help!  Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers!
God bless!
