I want to first thank anyone who is able to help me and family. Your donations are appreciated. I understand these are though times that everyone is currently facing with the pandemic and understand that we can not all donate, we would appreciate your support by sharing this post to help us spread the word.
I have decided to open this gofundme fundraiser for my aunt and her family. Unfortunately, she has been in the hospital in critical condition. We are thankful she is still stable and are praying for her recovery.
She has been at the hospital with complications of her Diabetic ketoacidosis and Covid-19 with pneumonia. She also suffered a cardiac arrest just days after being admitted to the hospital. She was performed CPR and placed on the ventilator. She has been going through dialysis for her kidney failure. Our family has been very hopeful and are continuing to pray constantly for her recovery.
Our aunt is such a beautiful soul. She lights up the room when she comes in. She literally does, because I have yet to me someone who makes my heart smile with her personality and voice. She is a young woman who has six children, two of which are under 15 years of age. She also has a son who is a special needs child and has been under her care since birth.
Unfortunately, she has been disconnected from the ventilator and the doctors proceeded with a tracheostomy. A Tracheostomy is a medical procedure — either temporary or permanent — that involves creating an opening in the neck in order to place a tube into a person's windpipe. The tube is inserted through a cut in the neck below the vocal cords. This allows air to enter the lungs. She will also be given a peg tube (feeding tube) to help her with her nutrition.
She will be released from the hospital (it has not been yet specified from her doctors) and be sent home to recover. Sadly, since she doesn’t have insurance to cover a long term facility for her recovery, she will be sent back home to be looked after by her loved ones.
I am asking for assistance for her husband and children. Her husband would not be able to return to work since he would have to be her full time care taker along with being their son’s full time care taker, since our aunt isn’t able to do so now. I am asking for any donation or small contribution you could help my family with.

Literalmente lo hace, porque todavía tengo a alguien que hace sonreír a mi corazón con su personalidad y su voz. Es una mujer joven que tiene seis hijos, dos de los cuales son menores de 15 años. Ella también tiene un hijo que es un niño con necesidades especiales y ha estado bajo su cuidado desde que nació. Desafortunadamente, la desconectaron del ventilador y los médicos procedieron con una traqueotomía. Una traqueotomía es un procedimiento médico, ya sea temporal o permanente, que implica la creación de una abertura en el cuello para colocar un tubo en la tráquea de una persona.
