Help Catt survive til she gets SSI

Catt has been fighting illness her whole life. She moved to Florida at the end of June to  be closer to family and get better medical help. Since she's been here she's been admitted to the hospital twice.

In August 2018 she was admitted to the hospital because of abdominal pain which turned out to be pancreatitis (Dr now says it's a chronic condition called "EPI,"  Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency) leading to pneumonia as well. She spent three weeks in a RotoProne bed, which a Nurse Practitioner told us she's never seen anyone come out of alive. Catt's anxiety is off the charts and she's freaked out to have lost a month of her life. She's terrified it'll happen again. Now she's having flashbacks; PTSD is not uncommon. To add insult to injury, she's started losing her hair. If she goes bald, I seriously worry for her mental health. Her anxiety is so bad she doesn't want to leave the house. When she does, it's guaranteed she'll have a panic attack. She's going to see a Trauma therapist, and a psychiatrist (she needs meds) but not soon enough for our liking.

Catt still has no insurance, although she's gotten help from the County to pay for labs, but getting in to see a doctor takes MONTHS. We finally found a patient assistance program for the $2000/month medication, but we're still paying out of pocket for most doctor visits because they're not covered. She has quite a few specialists and they're not cheap.

Since I (Catt's mom), too, am on a fixed income, it's been a struggle staying afloat. We're beyond fortunate that the house we live in belongs to family and they've been generous enough not to evict us on top of everything else. So far we're surviving, but even one unforeseen car problem w/my 11 year old car would do us in. There's just no funds left over for such things.

Again we're hoping that people can find it in their hearts to donate even the smallest amount so Catt can continue to see doctors and heal without worrying about bills. I, Liz & Catt's bff Kamille are managing to not get too far behind.
