Help Casey with her recovery from cancer.
Hi, on behalf of the ladies walking group, Mixy Marchers, I am setting this fundraising page up to raise very much needed funds to help our friend Lisa, her daughter Casey and their family to support Casey’s recovery from cancer.
Earlier this year, just before Casey turned 20, Casey was diagnosed with cancer in her leg. Casey had this operated on, but the cancer was too aggressive and Casey has just undergone an operation to have her leg amputated.
The cancer has also spread to Casey’s lungs, so further treatment is still needed.
Casey’s mum, Lisa is a single mum, and is relying on the support from her community to help them create a comfortable bedroom downstairs for Casey. They also need to raise enough funds to provide a comfortable prostheses for Casey for when she is ready. Their positivity is inspirational, and Casey has shown incredible strength through her journey so far! Fun and laughter is a huge part of what makes them such a lovely family.
With that in mind, Mixy Marchers have organised a 10 mile walk, dressed as cheerleaders (one of Casey’s hobbies before she became poorly), in September 2021. There will be an option to do a shorter route if 10 miles is too far for all those taking part.
Please share, and donate if you are able! Every single penny helps to take the worry and the pressure off this amazing young lady!!
