Help Carolyn Edwards Medical Expenses

On Dec 1st, 2020 around 8:30pm my mother Carolyn Edwards was struck by a hit-and-run driver, it seems that it was near the intersection of Milford and Rice street. My mother is in critical condition and is currently fighting for her life, she has a brain bleed, a pelvic fractured, others internal injuries and has been diagnosed with Diffused Axonal Injury Stage 3. We found out she was in the hospital the next day which was her 1st granddaughter's birthday, so it has been really hard on our family both here and Chicago. Due to Covid-19, she cannot have any visitors so our family has been on video chat everyday so she can hear our voices and soon wake up from the coma she's in. Carolyn is a loving person who loves to eat food, listens to R&B soul, drink a small glass of wine, and going to the casino & nail shop. She also loves being around her family and grandchildren especially on the holiday's and giving the fact that Christmas is approaching it is hitting hard on the kids because she might not be there to watch them open their present since she will still be in the hospital. My mother did not deserve this and the person still has not been found or turned themselves in, so not only are we asking for help to raise money for the medical bills but also any information about that night will help our family a lot during this difficult time.
