Help Carmen be comfortable when allowed home

Hi my name is Belinda Barlow.

I have known Carmen for more then 30 years and in this time she has helped my family and myself out more times than i can remember, now its my time to help her.

As you are all aware and for those who are just finding out.. Carmen was involved in a horrific motorbike accident on the 29th May 2021 when she was taking her life long dream bike a Ducati for it's first group ride.. unfortunately Carmen never made it far from home.

The accident was 9 weeks ago now and during this time Carmen has been to hell and back. We almost lost her a few times but thankfully she kept fighting the good fight. Carmen has been through a lot of operations and she still has many more to come. During this time Carmen has never complained, gotten angry or yelled at anyone (well maybe at me when i knocked her bad leg)..

Carmen is currently in rehab in Westmead fighting everyday to become stronger to hopefully be home as soon as she possibly can, with COVID its making it very hard mentally for her. Her recovery is a long and painful one but with more determination then ever she is making really good progress.

When Carmen is allowed to go home she will have a lot of hurdles to overcome.. One hurdle she will have will be getting on and off the lounge and getting comfortable. So I was hoping with your help we could raise some money to help Carmen buy an electric recliner lounge to make her more comfortable while getting the much needed rest to recover.

And in true Carmen fashion she is worried about her visitors when they come to visit that they will also be comfortable too (never stops caring that women).

I'm hoping that with your help together we can show Carmen what she means to us all.

All money will be deposited into Carmen's account to help her make the purchase..
