Hey guys! I have decided to make a gofundme page for my sweet little sister that is having a rough time!! Our Carley Girl was recently hospitalized for 4 days and was discharged with the diagnosis of lupus, vasculitis, and thrombocytopenia. Doctors are still looking for concrete answers and solutions.
Back Story—
Not knowing what was going on, Carley was abnormally sick this summer. She would often feel lethargic and want to sleep all day long. She dealt with headaches, a runny nose, cough, and other symptoms that we didn’t think was a big deal. One morning Carley woke up with a rash on her thighs and she believed it was probably a side effect from a medicine she had recently been taking. Quickly, the rash spread to her legs, feet, and hands. You can see from the pictures how bad it looked. She was in pain and it itches. As we went to the doctor, thinking it would be better, it didn’t and they did not have any answers as to what was going on. Carley tried to work with these conditions, but soon realized she is more than sick. It was over the weekend when we decided the next step needed to be taken so on Monday she would go back to the doctor. So tired,
Carley practically slept through the weekend. With the rash now spread to her face, mouth, tongue, and more spots on her body, she was turning purple. After blood work at the ER she was admitted into the hospital where she spent the next 4 days on IV fluids and running multiple tests (CT scan for her brain, another CT scan for her sinuses, ultra sound of her spleen and kidney, skin biopsy, etc)...
She was beyond dehydrated, completely malnourished, and scary low platelet levels. We were just waiting on what to do next. At this time, she is scheduled to have an echocardiogram due to chest pain.
Carley is currently working with a dermatologist, rheumatologist, dietitian, hematologist, and a family doctor... We are still looking for answers on how to solve her sickness and move forward. Carley has always been a giver, but this time we are asking for your help to give. Whether that be with prayers, financially, or both. Carley has a heavy financial burden right now with insurance having an extremely high deductible. She is still hurting, on bed rest, and unable to work for the next few weeks per her doctor and extreme lethargy. Please be with Carley in this time of need ♥️ Anyone that knows Carley knows she would do the same.
