Help Canada's Ski Jumping athletes

Tax deductible
You have seen the historic bronze medal won in the inaugural mixed team ski jumping event in Beijing in February 2022, and I am sure you know that the athletes who achieved that bronze medal have very little funding to cover their costs and get no OTP funding.
When the last year-round Canadian ski jumping hills closed in 2018, the athletes had a choice, to give up the sport they loved or move to Europe year-round in order to keep going, the National mens team had already made that choice because of the lack of a large ski jumping hill to train on.
Ski Jumping Canada now has a base in Slovenia for the athletes, but because of a lack of funding the athletes have to pay for their own accommodation, travel costs, training fees and buy their own equipment.
It costs each athlete approximately $50,000 a year; that amount includes the basic level of equipment, to quote one athlete, "we are duct-taping our equipment to keep it going."
Athletes from other nations have two jumping suits per competition; ours have two per season, they nurse their skis through a winter season then a summer season (yes, ski jumping happens year-round) rather than having multiple sets and they are not able to afford the most up to date boots.
All donations will go directly to covering athlete training and living costs and getting them better equipment to help them achieve even more in their chosen sport. Ski Jumping Canada is a volunteer-run organization with no employees, the government funding it does receive is used to cover coaching fees for our small and dedicated support team in Slovenia.
