Help Camille and Her Son Through This Crisis

My Niece Camille is 33 years old with a ten year old son and was diagnosed with advanced liver disease in June this year. Since then she has had eight transfusions, and multiple other procedures for ascites, varices and other bleeding. Care at Emory transplant hospital team has been initiated along with her other medical providers, and it is a real possibility that she may need a transplant. Her team of doctors are all hoping that due to her age her body could heal enough to not need the transplant. We are hoping and believing with her for a miracle.

Camille has been unable to work since June, and short term disability payments ended over a month ago. She is covered by FMLA/ADA so she has a job to return to when she is able to work, as well as keeping her health insurance during this time. She has no income and hospital and doctor bills are piling up quickly. No income means no ability to pay copays at the doctor or her prescriptions or even her next insurance premium.

It is really hard to write this request without giving too much information or making Camille feel less than. Your donation, large or small, will go a long way in helping this small family make it through the next phase of this disease, enabling her to care for herself and her son during this time.
