Help Cait Build An Off-Grid Animation Studio

Hello!

I'm Cait and I'm a stop-motion animator turned wannabe farmer and builder. You can check out my animation company here: http://www.springtimejellyfish.com Over the past year and a half I've been building an off-grid animation studio out in the woods of upstate NY. The studio is located on a communal property with a spring, hiking trails, a small old graveyard and an operating permaculture farm! In parallel to this studio project, I am also working on a no-cost artist residency and retreat called Fiddlehead Ranch .

To create the animation studio, I milled my own lumber

Had the assistance of wonderful friends to dig, mix and pour the concrete piers

And joined forces with more friends to frame and sheath the tiny house!

We've made so much progress and I'm so excited with how everything is coming out.

I've ordered the roofing and wood stove and now I need help to afford the cost of a powerful solar system so I can make animation here!
