Help Cadillac Urban Gardens!

Cadillac Urban Gardens is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in Mexicantown, Southwest Detroit. Due to our official transition as a nonprofit Cadillac Urban Gardens needs your support to fund staff and youth interns in addition to purchasing needed equipment and materials for this growing season. To accomplish this we are asking for support to raise $30,000. Your donations will help support our cause and enable us to provide free produce to our community. Any amount helps us reach our goal.

Since 2012 the garden has provided a space for community members to come together to grow fresh fruits and vegetables, promote food sovereignty, and beautify their neighborhood through place-based intergenerational learning. In turn, the garden provides free produce to residents where nearly 1,000 residents received free fresh produce every year. However, without the hard work and dedication of our Southwest Detroit community and volunteers, this garden would not be possible. Help support Cadillac Urban Gardens, the Southwest Detroit community, and the youth that keeps this garden thriving!

Cadillac prides itself on being a community and youth-driven space where decisions and programming developed within the garden are articulated and developed by Detroit residents and youth. Our approach creates a flow of multigenerational leadership where residents young and old have the opportunity to create and make change here in Southwest Detroit. Cadillac has provided for over a decade residents with the ability to change the trajectory of their lives enabling them to pursue career and educational goals within the environmental, food, science and agricultural fields.
