Help Buster be Pain Free for his last year of life

Hello I am a Southern California proud father of a 14 1/2 Shiba Inu mix senior doggie named Buster. I've always taken good care of him with vet appointments and vaccinations, feeding only grain free dog food and plenty of exercise. I even got him surgery when he was a puppy to help in the future if he got a luxating patella! He's my only companion, as I live by myself and is part of my family! However, in the past year, he has developed bad arthritis due to his age and limps a lot and is in pain. I've tried some NSAID's and Gabapentin for pain, but with limited success! The vet thinks that acupuncture and aqua therapy would help him build muscle since he has muscle wasting due to the arthritis. Acupuncture would also help with his pain. I'd love to bring him to the Animal Acupuncture and Rehab clinic, but the prices are way past my budget and will financially drain me!
