Hello everyone! I am starting this Gofundme in the hopes to give my husband a better life, He is a hard working father of 3 and at age 26 my husband was diagnosed with type1 diabetes, and our lives were forever changed,
Bryan went from being 145lbs to barly maintaining 115lbs he was wasting away in front of my eyes and continues to lose weight,
He has difficulties absorbing his insulin as he has lipoma tumors on his belly that make taking multiple injections every day very dificult,
And because of this and his lack of body fat leaves him with very little injection options as insulin has to be incected into the fat, as a result his blood glucose (sugars) run on the very high side and he continues to slowly waste away,
High sugars over time is very damaging to his system which can lead to lost limbs lost eyesight and organ failure Bryan needs a artificial pancreas also known as an insulin pump in order to receive the insulin he needs to survive! and maintaine better blood glucose levels, But unfortunately for Bryan our government only covers artificial pancreases until age 25, Bryan missed the cut off by 1 year, Unfortunately it is difficult to get medical coverage for an artificial pancreas and even though we have coverage threw his work it does not cover the pump only supplies, So i am starting this go fund me in the hopes to help basically save my husbands life from this disease. thank you all for reading.
