World Climate School US (United States)

The goal of World Climate School US is to bring climate awareness, and education to the world, while providing people with the tools to get personally involved. Our focus is to engage with with schools, libraries, sporting events, art and music festivals, in an effort to make climate restoration part of every persons daily life.

World Climate School US is mobilizing a creative force for a new climate narrative. We are planting seeds of hope across generations with youth leaders at the helm. We are integrating climate literacy into local communities, while connecting to a global culture of climate inititives.

World Climate School US has assembled a powerful group of like-minded creative intellectuals who will facilitate project development, and community engagement using education and the arts.

Our first event utilizes the power and passion of the arts. Our youth leaders, lead by Agustin Ocana, at The Global Youth Coalition, are presently mobilized with smartphones to learn about nature-based solutions for climate restoration. The project harnesses the creative power of content creators through media and storytelling.

We are preparing for our hybrid launch on World Environmental Day, June 5th 2024 to World Ocean Day on June 8th 2024 in partnership with scientists, innovators, educators, and artists globally.

History
World Climate School was launched as an NGO in Molde, Norway in 2020 by Inger-Mette Stenseth, and a team of internationally concerned, youth, teachers, and grass roots leaders.

Karen A. Brown’s niche PR company StardustBlue Media in partnership with Stenseth’s core foundation of World Climate School US is expanding the narrative that connects the Norwegian eco-movement to The United States. Reminding us of Chief Seattle's famous words, “Teach your children what we have taught our children: that the earth is our mother. Whatever befalls the earth, befalls the children of the earth.” -Chief Seattle (19th-century leader of the Duwamish and Suquamish Tribes)

Responsibility
Our goal is to restore our home for our children, grandchildren, and beyond. We are partnering with nature, not overpowering it. It is every individuals responsibility to learn to repair, restore and become guardians of this fragile planet. It all we have.

“There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known.”
― Carl Sagan, Pale Blue Dot: A Vision of the Human Future in Space

World Climate School US takes a creative approach, while teaching community based solutions to restore, repair, and engage with children.

“This is bigger than any movie, this is the challenge of our time. And it is our responsibility to leave this world a better place than we found it, but right now we are failing future generations.” - Arnold Schwarzenegger

Your Generous Donations
Your donations to kickstart World Climate School US will support the infrastructure of our new United States non-profit arm, continuing our co-ordinated initiatives with children.

Karen, and Inger-Mette have been rethinking the narrative of climate education, and feel that information has not been made available in a way that is clear, and actionable to the general population.

Their mutual love and respect for Our Blue Planet brought them together.

With our deepest appreciation, and love of a future on Earth,
Inger, & Karen
