Help bring The Desert EP to life

If you are reading this right now then you are one of the people who has helped build Stoneside from the ground up. As an entirely independent project stemming from a home recording studio in a backyard shed in Texas, we truly could not have received such a positive response to our first EP - The Water - without the support of each and every one of our listeners and followers. At the time of writing this, The Water has over 15k streams on Spotify alone - we can barely comprehend what this number looks like, but we think it's a number we should be proud of for an independent debut EP.

As you undoubtedly already know, the songs we create are not just for the sake of putting some words to music; they are stories and they are memories of people who are no longer with us. We aim to use our music to capture the love, loss, violence and sorrow, and bring these stories to life again. The Water EP came to be as a collection of stories of people who, in life or death, had something in common - they all shared the water. Now we have 7 more stories that we would like to bring together for our next EP - The Desert.

This is where we have had to admit that we cannot do this completely on our own though - as musicians who lost our incomes last year due to the pandemic, we are still only getting back on our feet again now. Even though we do almost all of the recording at home in the studio here, it is the final touch from a pro engineer that brings our music to life the way we want it to; the difference between a demo and a polished release version.
