Help Bring Shawn Home

It pains me to write this. As many of you found out, my brother Shawn passed away August 3 2017. He was visiting Vietnam in search of something new and decided he wanted to stay a bit longer then expected. The cause of death is still unknown to us and we are hopeful that by Monday,  we will have more answers. We are in the process of figuring out how to bring him home to rest, where he belongs. The cost of bringing him home is estimated at $18,000 plus the funeral costs. Unfortunately, the VA gives no assistance to a Veteran who is no longer active. I have exhausted all options and was told that this is a common way for the families to get help in a situation like this.  We would love to give Shawn the funeral and memorial he deserves. Thank you.
