Help bring Kak Ayu home.

Hi Everyone,

My name is Amalina. We have set up this campaign on behalf of my best friend Farihah Yusuf and her sister Kak Ayu and her family in the hope of seeking your help. We are hoping to assist them with the cost to bring Kak Ayu home to Malaysia where she has all the love and support which is necessary for her recovery. Most importantly for her to be reunited with her two boys who were flown home when Kak Ayu’s health took its worst turn. Kak Ayu’s family is looking at medical repatriation cost of around £40,000 to fly her home with a medical team and the vital equipments.

The first time I met Kak Ayu, we instantly clicked. Her friendly, bubbly personality really brings positive energy to those around her. I have never met anyone as brave as her, I adore her strength and courage. It has really saddened many that knows Kak Ayu personally of the predicament she is currently in. 

Kak Ayu was first diagnosed with cancer while she was preparing for her PhD. However, this did not dampen her spirit to carry on pursuing her dreams. Having had to postpone her studies for treatments in Malaysia, Kak Ayu had recently returned to the UK to finalise her PhD. It was only 4 weeks into her new beginning and she started having complications. She has now completed 3 weeks of therapy in Cardiff and have been away from her boys since. Kak Ayu’s family has been looking at ways to get her home. I truly believe we would be able to raise a significant amount of funds to get Kak Ayu home safely as soon as possible and ease the financial hardships for her and her family.
