Help Brian's Massage Therapy Business Re-Open
Update 6/5/2021
Thanks to the generosity of my very kind friends, I am on my way! I am so grateful for the love and encouragement.
I will be ready to open very soon! I have now ordered a lot of what I need, and am getting the space set up for work. I still need a few things, and will hopefully get it all this next week.
I am still accepting any contributions, it well help me get a head start - and I am so grateful for what I have received.
You are all the best people!

It is time to re-open my Massage Therapy practice .
Can you help me get started?
My name is Brian, ( some know me as happycat!)
I am a Certified Massage Therapist (CMT), in practice in California since 1995. My San Rafael office was closed down in March 2020, like so many other businesses. I found creative ways to keep on keepin' on during this break... And now I am ready to re-open for business by June 1st, possibly sooner.
My goal is to open, and be self supporting in my practice once again.
I have found a great new space to begin working again,
with a window and door for fresh air (so important now),
and even a view of Mt. Tam!
Today the space is empty.
I have been able to secure the lease on this office in central Marin. I have spent the last couple weeks trying to figure out how to get the equipment necessary to set-up properly for a professional and safe practice in 2021. It is more than just popping up an old massage table.
I am asking for a little help on the way from my friends & community, to get my office ready for business! I am asking for help towards simple furnishings, sheets & supplies, equipment, and some expensive new extras (PPE, HEPA filters) required to provide safe massage during these times, and beyond.
I am asking for your help on the way, if you can, to help me start anew.
I don't have any savings to spend, no open credit card balances to charge up, and have not qualified for any business assistance loans. I have had some help here and there and am very grateful to friends and society for that, but I have been in survival mode. I keep a positive mental attitude and am grateful to have made it through; and now I need to get back to work to make a living.
I have been helping some others earn their living this past year, perhaps more than helping myself. Now is the time I need to ask for a little extra help for myself. I need a lift to get back on my feet with my massage practice. If I could get the equipment and supplies I need, that would get my door open. If I could raise a little bit more than that, maybe I could get a month or so ahead of the rent. Once I have the momentum going, my practice will do well - after isolation people need massage therapy now more than ever. Many regulars from San Rafael will return and I will be able to build new business as well.
It would mean so much to me to know I have your support, and the support of my community. I'd be very grateful if you could contribute anything towards me getting my office set-up and my business open; even one dollar helps! Thank you for "having my back"!!!
