Help Brian's Family with expenses

Hello, my name is William and I am trying to raise money for a dear friend, veteran, father and grandfather. Brian Payne served in the military for 15 years with numerous combat tours to Iraq. Currently he is the sole income for his household taking care of his daughter and her two children. He was admitted to the UVA University Hospital in Charlottesville after a terrible car accident on Wed (11 Aug) with his fiancé. He was in the ICU for almost 12 hours before he was moved to the trauma unit. Brian is still in critical condition, sedated, and hooked up to a ventilator to breath. When he was admitted to the hospital all 12 of his ribs on the right side were broken along with broken arm and pelvis. He was immediately rushed to surgery because several of his organs that are normally located below the diaphragm ended up in his chest cavity (Gallbladder, Spleen, Liver, one Kidney, and part of his intestines). With these organs ending up where they did it severely bruised his lungs and that is why he is breathing from the ventilator. His spleen ruptured which cause a massive amount of internal bleeding and required the hospital to give him 5 units of blood within the first 24 hours. The second day he also ended up needing another 5 units of blood. His Liver was damaged which required another surgery to remove part of it. As of now the hospital has stopped the internal bleeding and has informed the family Brian is still going to need surgery to remove the Gallbladder. Today (Sat 14 Aug) Brian is going back into surgery to place rods in his arm. Along with a future surgery on his Gallbladder he will still need surgery on one of his Kidneys and his pelvis. The hospital has told the family Brian will likely be in the Trauma Unit around 1 month before before he can be transferred out to start the true recovery process.

I have spoken with his daughter and they have filled a disability claim, however this will not cover his full salary. I am asking for everyone's help here so we can make sure all of his medical bills as well as his everyday bills will be covered while he is out of work. Brian is looking at a very long road to recovery and for those of you who know him he will likely never be able to return to his job and do what he loves doing... Any donations and prayers for the family is greatly appreciated not just by them but also his close friends!

My wife and are are also going to be putting together a way people can sign up to prepare meals for is daughter and kids. When I have more on that I will update this post and provide the information need.
