Help Briana Preserve Her Left Eye

I have been dealing with an extremely rare auto-immune eye condition for over a decade. According to the doctor my left eye is leaking fluid due to thinning of the cornea. I received a minor surgery on December 2nd for a temporary adhesive to delay damage. 

My doctor recommended I receive a corneal transplant because if I don’t I am in danger of losing my left eye. This would need to be done no later than the first week of January. 

Anthony and I are evaluating our options but it looks like I have no choice but to enroll in the Marketplace for health insurance. While I am thankful Obamacare has banned discriminating pre-existing conditions, the premium is beyond our budget and due to financial strain, we do not have the funds on hand to pay the deductible

We are looking at $313.52 per month for the premium, $1500 deductible (due on day of surgery), and a maximum of $3500 for out-of-pocket expenses. The rest will go to extra needs before insurance kicks in on January 1st and any additional expenses. The enrollment deadline is December 15th so it is vital for me to afford my premium to save my eye. 

While this is not the news I wanted to hear, we are incredibly grateful that this is not life threatening and that we enjoy an immeasurably privileged life.
