Help Brendan and Lauren Recover From Arson
Donation protected
Hi everyone! I am starting this fundraiser in hopes that you can support my twin brother Brendan and his girlfriend Lauren.
At approximately 3am on October 8th my brother's RAV4 was set on fire outside his apartment in The Heights by what we believe is a serial arsonist (link to ABC13 article with video). They woke up when they heard the car alarm and called 911, as did several of their neighbors, but unfortunately it took the fire department almost 20 minutes to arrive (they were also responding to a similar call in the area). Thankfully no one was hurt, but his car is completely destroyed.
Brendan has been working with Smilebooth for many years and used his hard-earned money to purchase that car. As an event-based company they have been hit hard during this pandemic (and so has he as a result). He has also recently returned to college to finish his degree. His hard work has quite literally gone up in flames.
This is a huge setback in a really stressful time. We know there are others in need, but if you are able, we would greatly appreciate your love and financial support at this time. I am managing this fundraiser on their behalf, and all funds will go toward Brendan getting a replacement vehicle. He has insurance, but it's unlikely that will cover the remaining payments on the destroyed car and a down payment for a new one.
If you can't contribute financially, your prayers and well wishes are also appreciated.
