Help Braxton Beat Cancer!

For those of you that know Braxton Bassett, you know that he is a fun loving, funny, caring, giving, and motivated individual. He is hard working, determined, and loves his friends and family something fierce! He is a giant among men, and we now have an opportunity to help Braxton and his family as they go through fighting cancer.
Braxton and Shae got married in September of 2020, then in December, was diagnosed with Stage 3 Melanoma that has metastasized to his lymph nodes. It hit everyone like a ton of bricks, all shocked this would happen to someone so young, and so full of life! Braxton hit the ground running, keeping a positive attitude and telling everyone, "yeah I feel good" even if we all knew he didn't. Braxton's medical team decided his best course of treatment against the cancer was immunotherapy. Braxton started treatment and quickly began to feel the effects. He started getting migraines that led to a lack of sleep, lost feeling in his hands and feet, as well as overall feeling crappy. Still, Braxton tried to keep a smile on his face!
This past week, Braxton was admitted to IMC and diagnosed with Guillain Barr Syndrome. Through IVIG therapy, his team hopes to reverse the damage done by GBS and give Braxton feeling back in his extremities. Sadly, during exploring his Guillain Barr Syndrome diagnosis, they found that Braxton's spinal tap came back with an evaluated white blood cell count, unknown whether there is cancer in his back, or if there is something else going on. Braxton is scheduled for surgery on the 17th to remove a tumor under his arm, and we are hoping to get more answers as he receives further treatment.
At this time, the Bassett family is asking that you keep Braxton and his family in your prayers, and specifically pray that he is healthy enough to keep the scheduled surgery day, that the cancer has not spread, and that they can reverse the damage done by Guillain Barr Syndrome.
Many of you have asked how else you can help, and that is why we are setting up a Go Fund Me in Braxton's behalf. Although we are grateful for medical insurance, we also know that Braxton and the Bassett family will be left paying deductibles and out of pocket maxes, as we have started 2021. Funds raised will go directly to Braxton, Shae, and the Bassett family to assist with medical bills, and costs associated with Braxton's fight against cancer.
