Help Brandt Recover From River's Sudden Passing

My dear friend and my martial arts instructor, Brandt Thomas Bollers, had a tragedy occur on January 10, 2021. His significant other, Brianna "River" Lindsay suffered what appeared to be a sudden heart attack at 2am that morning and was not able to be revived. At this time, the exact cause of death is unknown. River had traveled to move in with Brandt 8 months ago, they having met through mutual friends in the "Wasteland Weekend" event scene and built their relationship online over the last few years.

Brandt recently moved to Colorado from Oregon, and has no support system or available family there. My significant other, Olivia (pictured below with Brandt and I in the cockpit of the Spruce Goose airplane in the McMinnville Oregon Air Museum) has now driven 3 days straight to get to him and help him through the grief and pain of the situation, while I had to stay in Oregon for work.

Brandt suffers from the side effects of wearing medical leg braces through his childhood, asthma, type-2 diabetes, and massive PTSD from childhood trauma and seeing action in Vietnam with the Rand private intelligence corporation. He is not able to work and has been living on a fixed income with serious medical expenses. At this time, Brandt cannot stay where he and River had been living. We do not know when or where River's memorial will be, or if he will be able to make it there (as her family is from Arizona).

Please consider donating as little as $5 or $10 to this campaign. The more you can donate, of course, the better. I do not have a current estimate of our expenses, so have placed the goal at $1,000.

These funds will directly help Brandt secure a place to live, access to his required medications, and paying for his and Olivia's logistics, travel, and lodging expenses during this very trying period of our friend's life. Brandt is our very dear friend and so Oliva decided that he cannot go through this alone. While I cannot be there directly, I can urge _you_ to help them. River was a professional costume designer, and a creative, brilliant soul, as the picture above with her mermaid friend shows. While I only knew her through a very brief internet friendship, you should see how directly she touched Brandt's heart:
