Help Brad Doud Rebuild His Life

Hi, my name is Sonya and I am fundraising for Brad Doud.

I met Brad during my first year with Ice Capades. He was a line skater with high hopes of becoming a principal skater. His dreams were achieved with his comedic act as Mr. Debonair.

After he left the show he had moved to Las Vegas to continue in the entertainment business at various hotels.

Brad was happily married for 16 years until he was diagnosed with an incurable rare and painful blood disorder.

During this disease he has been hospitalized many times and was prescribed very highly addictive medication.

Due to hospital bills and divorce his funds were depleted but addiction to the prescribed medication led to street drugs as he could no longer afford the prescribed medication for the pain of his disease. Brad is on disability that is only covering his medications, doctor appointments and limited food. He has been clean from street drugs since Thanksgiving 2020 and is proud of that.

Brad has been living on the street for the last 3 years. I just recently was in Vegas and did get the chance to see Brad, that is why I am creating this fund.

It is very sad to see a good friend in this situation. I would like to share a text that he had sent me.

"I didn't tell anyone my situation because of a few things. First, I was very embarrassed. I knew there were some people who looked up to me and I was afraid of letting them down. I was also afraid of the haters. I could hear it in my head, that Doud, I told you he was a loser! Then the ones that feel sorry for me. I didn't want any of it so I thought I would just disappear and no one would have to know, or care. That way if something happened it would be over before anyone would know"

Any donations will be handled by me for lodging and food. I will be directly paying for his needs. He will not be involved with the financial dealings. I am currently looking for a place for him to stay. Payment will be made from me directly. If you know of any place that would be affordable to help Brad please let me know.
