Help Bodie The Siberian Husky

Hello everyone.

Our names are Niña and David. We are the parents of Bodie, and the people behind @Bodie_Husky's Instagram account. We wanted to reach out and let everyone know that we are fundraising for our boy's leg surgery.

Bodie is a Siberian husky that we rescued back in 2019 from Rancho Cucamonga Animal Center.

He was a one year old boy, found as a stray dog and he stayed in the shelter for a month before we got him.

Bodie is a happy and active dog who we love so much. He made a lot of friends and through him we found friends who became a family. We take him on hikes, road trips and camping with friends. He loves to run and play.

One day when we got home from our walk, we noticed that he is limping on his right back leg. We thought it is just a strained muscle so we decided to give him a couple of days to rest. Three to four days later, he was showing signs that he was better and because of that I let him in the backyard to play. While he was having fun, he yelped all of a sudden. The same leg that was hurting, started hurting again and this time we decided to take him to the vet.

During our visit, his vet suspected that Bodie has a torn ACL and might need a surgery. They had to mildly sedate him and run an X-ray to make sure what is wrong with his leg. After 2-3 hours of waiting, we are sadden to hear that the result came out as the vet expected. Bodie has a torn ACL and needs a surgery as soon as possible.

The vet gave us $591.05 bill for the sedative,x-ray,kidney and liver check, and for his pain medicines. Another $4676.60 estimate for the procedure.

A donation of any amount would truly help us reach our goal of $5,000.
