Help Blaise fight leukaemia (ALL)

My son Blaise turned 3 on June 5th. He had his first ever birthday party at Chipmunks on the Saturday and had a ball. He was happy as can be. His kindy friends were all there to help him celebrate. He went to kindy on Monday and I got a phone call to come pick him up as he had a temperature. He had an appointment at GCUH on the Thursday which I was happy about as he was still unwell with constant fevers and off his food. He had a blood test taken day before our appointment. We had been waiting ages as you do at hospitals and were last ones to be seen. His dad came in with us but had to leave to go to work. The Dr opened his blood results and said something doesn't look right with his blood results and said Blaise needed to be admitted immediately. The Dr started rattling off things it could be, then out came the leukaemia word. My heart just dropped. All I could think of was getting his dad back to the hospital. We were admitted to the children's ward and settled Blaise in, then I called his dad. There was silence on the phone. I had to ask David if he heard me as I really didn't want to repeat it. His dad arrived back half an hour later with a suitcase packed for Blaise. It was my 44th birthday. People were calling and texting and I couldn't answer. Drs started running tests all afternoon and inserted a cannula for meds and blood. The next day the Dr was very blunt and to the point and said it does look like your son has leukaemia. He will need to be transferred via ambulance to Queensland children's hospital in Brisbane. We all started crying. It was such an unexpected diagnoses. Saturday afternoon we arrived in Brisbane where we still are. A bone marrow aspiration was done on the Tuesday and a few hours later it was confirmed he had B cell (ALL). Surgery was done on Thursday and he started chemo. We are from the Gold Coast and have had to temporarily move to Brisbane to receive treatment for him. Whilst  as an inpatient all his meals are included, meals for the parents are not included.  Buying 3 meals a day is adding up very quickly. Treatment lasts for approximately 2.5 years, hopefully he can receive some treatment on the Gold Coast.  I have had to give up my job for at least the first 6 months. His dad is working when he can as he has no sick pay or holiday leave. Blaise has always been a daddy's boy and it breaks David heart having to leave him and not be there every minute of the day. We still have rent to pay and 2 other boys to take care of at home. We have travel expenses and ongoing medical expenses including a lot of medicines.  Any money donated will assist with all these expenses and help us to be able to be with him 24/7. Any amount donated would be greatly appreciated. Every dollar adds up.
