Help Blair Fight
Hi Everyone! I just wanted to share Blair’s story.
Very long story short…
Blair was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor. It was successfully removed during surgery; however, permanent damages occurred in her brain causing body regulation issues such as hormone and electrolyte imbalances. She has been struggling with weight gain and fluid build-up among other things since being discharged from Vanderbilt.
Recently, Blair was diagnosed with Covid and RSV. She was rushed to children’s hospital and thankfully was discharged. However, she started rapidly declining and not being able to breathe on her own.
She is currently at Children’s Hospital again due to pneumonia developing in her lungs causing fluid build-up and her left lung not to function. They also believe she may have meningitis (infection of the brain) that could turn into sepsis. She was put on oxygen, but she was still not able to breathe well on her own. Her oxygen saturation wasn’t being maintained on a safe level, so she is now on a ventilator to breathe for her.
Her mother has been recently told the outcome does not look positive. Her family is having to face some very difficult decisions. It has been told today that they do not think she will recover from this. With Blair being in and out of the hospital, Mirsada is not able to work as needed to provide the utmost care for her daughter.
This family has faced so much hardship lately. Blair was diagnosed with a tumor, her father had recently passed away unexpectedly, and now she is battling for her life in the hospital once again.
She ended up beating Covid and coming offthe ventilator and being home. Unfortunately, she has landed back in the ICU on a ventilator again, but the doctors do not know what her body is facing.
