peace! i'm ray indigo, a 22 year old southern Black queer nonbinary organizer and last month i was raped by a man i don't know. he stole my journal that held all my prayers, hopes, thoughts, poems, secrets, and dreams. he also knows where i live, making my neighborhood no longer safe. since the assault i've been suffering from severe panic attacks, weight loss, insomnia, extreme depression, and paranoia. this makes it extremely difficult for me to work, and feel safe in my home. 

i have no desire to involve the police because i believe it result in hypersurveillance of my neighborhood. this puts both my community and myself at risk of state violence, and my politic will not allow for that so instead i'm leaning on the support of community. 

the costs included in my goal will cover my hospital bill, medicine, therapy sessions, and down payment for an apartment away from where he can find me. i'm eternally grateful for any amount that you can spare to aid my recovery. thank you so much!! Asé. Amen.
