Help Betty & Max move from their unsafe house

The last thing anyone wants is to have to move house urgently at Christmas time.

Bec (Betty) and Max’s house was first damaged by the earthquake in Melbourne, and then more so during recent storms.

The house was flooded, drains were blocked, and the house was left badly water damaged.

The apartment is above another building, and an independent inspector has deemed it unsafe to live in.

The landlord of the house is not assisting with the issues, and does not accept that the building is un-liveable. Bec and Max will need to make a case with VCAT.

The costs to move house now are dramatically increased due to the time of year, and the urgent need to leave. Most removalists are not operating at the moment.

Bec and Max have already had a stressful year, (like many of us have) due to COVID underemployment, lockdowns, and being separated from family in WA and internationally.

They would be so grateful for anyone to chip in a few dollars to help them get set up safely in a temporary home.
