Help Betty fight breast cancer

Donation protected
On March 7th, 2017, I found out that my big sister, Betty, was diagnosed with breast cancer (DCIS Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Stage 2B, Estrogen Progesterone positive) This came as a total shock to our entire family and we are still learning more about her diagnosis and treatment plan. What we do know is that her prognosis is really positive and our family has no doubt she will come through this fight stronger than ever. With that said, the road ahead over the next few months will definitely be a challenge.

As I found out of her diagnosis I did what most humans would do, cry and wonder how we would get through this together. I’ve always looked up to my sister because she always been the strongest in the family. For my sister Betty finding out that you have breast cancer is a life-changing event. You go through so many emotions: from denial, to disbelief, to desperation, anger, fear and anguish. To top it all off, there is the stress of having to make a decision when it comes to the course of action to take, and what is the best treatment for you. As we spoke of her diagnosis and what she will do next my sister Betty spoke to me about her plan to seek holistic methods to treat her type of breast cancer instead of going with conventional medicine. "Start with an alternative breast cancer treatment that doesn't inflict so much damage to your body. Then I can try other more damaging treatments in case the first one did not work. Why would I first try chemo and radiation that will have so much side-effects if you don't need to? At first I was all against her going holistic and not taking immediate measures to get it removed and chemo therapy. But as I did research with her and listening to my sisters wishes It's my duty as a sister to support her more that ever even if I don't fully understand her decision .

She currently is trying several different ways to help her with treatment the emotional and financial burden of surviving breast cancer is a challenge (to say the least) at any stage of life, but Betty is the most fun-loving, caring, funny, bravest, best mother to her kids, best wife to her husband David and all around greatest human that I know and I am sure you all agree that Betty deserves and needs our love and support now more than ever.

This is where you and this fund come in. The cost for medical treatment continue to add up and we are reaching out to our amazing and supportive network of family and friends to help, in any and every, shape or form. Any donation is greatly appreciated and will be a huge help to my sister Betty during the next few months.

A few examples of what the funds raised through this site will be used for:

-IV treatments ( 3 x a week) high dose, intravenous Vitamin C
-IPT, Insulin Potentiation therapy
-Infrared Sauna
-Medical treatment costs
-Bills and expenses that will add up while Betty is out of work
-Any other unanticipated costs that come along with this fight

Please also note that any funds collected that Betty does not end up needing to cover the costs outlined above will be promptly donated to causes that help the other women and men bravely battling cancer around the country.

Thank you all for reading and considering Betty’s road ahead.
