Help Bertie walk again

We adopted Bertie from Capital Area Humane Society back in May. She was rescued by Calhoun County Animal Center in June 2017 and somehow made her way to the Lansing area a year later. It seems like she has lived a good chunk of her life in a shelter, and when we saw her, somehow we just knew she was the dog for us. We couldn't leave her when she looked so sad in the visiting room.
We immediately started spoiling her, showing her insane amounts of love, enrolling her in dog classes, and giving her everything she ever deserved. It helped her become such a confident dog and she finally began to break out of her shell.
When we first got her, she wouldn't even look at a toy. Slowly, but surely, she became your (above, in my opinion) average household dog.
She LOVES going for walks, despite the weather, so we got her a little rain coat (and boots for winter) so she could go outside in any situation.
Kisses are a must for her, obviously.
Bertie absolutely hates it when we leave the house, recently she has taken to hiding my keys when she realizes i'm getting my things together to go to class.
She get's adorably protective if her Mom is sick or hurt
Here she is on 9/25, right after she graduated her dog class (with her instructor recommended halti). We had planned on enrolling her in agility or dog parkour next, but unfortunately.. all that has changed.
Yesterday (9/26), Bertie was out on her afternoon walk when suddenly, a neighborhood dog came charging at her while barking in a wildly unfriendly manner. She was startled, as the dog came out of no where, which caused Bertie to jump into the air and land on her back and let out an awful cry. The type of cry that likely won't leave you for the rest of your life. We rushed her to the Animal Hospital in our area, where they came out with a gurney and rushed her in to do a neurological exam.
Bertie is now completely paralyzed from the waist down.
As of right now, we are waiting for her MRI results that will tell us what the problem is, and how and if they can fix it. The vet said the most likely result is surgery to fix whatever went wrong, got broken, displaced, whether the injury is physical or neurological.
We're willing to do what it takes to help Bertie. She is only 3 years old, and has spent so much of her life in a shelter. She deserves so much more time to know that she's loved, cared for and safe. I have people telling me that it would be easier to just put her down. I don't care about the easy route. Bertie deserves better than the easy route. I will do what I can to ensure she lives her life to the absolute fullest. If she ends up needing a dog-wheelchair, if she needs help going to the bathroom, needs a dog stroller to go on her daily walks, I am ready to arrange all of that just to give this good girl the life she deserves.

So far, without surgery her vet bill is $2,500 including the neurological exams, x-rays, the MRI, pain medication, and boarding fees. With surgery, it will be an extra 5,000 dollars on top of the 2,500.
