Please help bring Benito home

Donation protected
With a broken heart we share the passing of Benito Segura.

A tragic hit & run car accident took his life on the 22nd of January, 2020, while training in Hawaii.

Benito was a true warrior, a 2nd degree black belt in Brazilian Jiujitsu under Mestre Marcus Soares, and multi-time World Champion of the art.  Having overcome incredible adversity, he dedicated his life to training and teaching BJJ & his warrior ways to all of us students.

Benito was a  Loving Son, Father, Grandfather and Hero to so many of us.  Wherever he went, he warmed the hearts of those around him, strengthened their spirit, and left great wisdom behind.

He went through multiple surgeries in 2019, to remedy old battle wounds, and was on the path for a comeback, to compete again this year.  He was currently in training camp to get ready for Australia.  At the time of his passing, he was healthy & strong, and more importantly, happy, and at peace.

Please help raise funds to bring him home from Hawaii, to Williams Lake, BC,  where he will be welcomed by his ancestral warriors of present day and past.  The money will help with any transportation & celebratory expenses, and more importantly for the family members, including his daughter and granddaughter he leaves behind.

Please follow the page for any updates regarding Benito, and any of the upcoming celebratory events, as well as more ways to contribute in this of grievance. Thank you everyone, with love.
