HELP BELOVED HAWAIIAN SON BE TREATED AT HOME

Donation protected
Aloha!  It begins, as so many wonderful stories do, with the birth of a fine, handsome baby boy, named Logo.  Logo grew and lived and brought joy to his mother, Hauoli's, heart.  Hauoli is native Hawaiian and she cannot bear to let her son's story end.  She's a fighter.  (Hauoli's English name is Deborah, what most people know her by.  In the Family, we go by our Native names.)

Logo was active, happy and living life!  Then it struck.  Logo came down with Guillian Barré, a rare disorder where the body's immune system attacks the nerves.  Logo had the worst reaction possible and lost control of all muscles, leading to total paralysis, an inability to eat, walk or even respond when the reaction was at its worst.

Hauoli continues to fight.  She will not stop until her son has taken his last breath.  She has had to fight the insurance company for his care every step.  Most people eventually recover from Guillain Barré given enough time and treatment.

Why are we writing this?  Hauoli wants to take her son home.  She feels she can give him the best care there.  She can be his nurse.  She can’t do so without your help.  Hauoli has been quarantined at the Care Center nearly an hour from her home while being with her son.  They can now leave, if her home is made ready for Logo's care.

Here is what needs to be done and what needs to be purchased.

Phase I

* Basement / bathroom remodel with handicap shower
*  Ramp
*  Physical Therapy Treatments (2 months)

Phase II

*  Electronic wheel chair that helps stand up
*  Garage Door entry remodel
*  Physical Therapy Treatments (3 months)

Phase III
*  Handicap equipped van

Phase IV
*  Ongoing Physical Therapy (if needed)
*  Occupational Therapy (if needed)

Please note that any extra will go to living expenses while Hauoli is unable to work outside as a Registered Nurse.

Won’t you be part of this modern day miracle?

If you can help, even just a little bit, you can go to sleep at night knowing that you have helped to make a difference in a very real and profound way.

Mahalo nui loa!  Thank you very much!
