Hi!
We are the duo Bel and Quinn. We are two sisters of Haitian descent making our mark on the Canadian music scene. Our musical project combines Haitian rhythms, soul, jazz, and funk. Music is our lifeline, our light at the end of the tunnel. We have overcome the challenges of depression and anxiety. In the Haitian community, mental health is a taboo subject. Through the power of songwriting, we have found our healing force and hope to inspire others to do the same.
In the autumn of 2023, we unveiled our first album, “Donte sann yo,” which translates as “Taming the Ashes.” We perform our original compositions in English, French, and Creole. With this debut album, we were nominated for a JUNO Award in the "Global Music Album of the Year" category, the Canadian equivalent of the Grammy Awards. We were also nominated for an ADISQ Award in the "Album of the Year – World Music" category, which recognizes the best artists in Quebec.
This project has taken us on an unexpected journey, filled with uncertainty, doubt, fear and joy. Every step of the way, we have had to trust in ourselves, even when no one else believed. The sense of accomplishment we feel is truly beyond words. We are thrilled to announce that we have been chosen to perform our music at a prestigious showcase Dakar Music Expo DMX in March 2026. We will have the opportunity to share our music with an audience of programmers, tour managers, festivals, cultural institutions, media, and professionals from Africa and beyond.
Today, we need your help to make this project a reality. Thank you for helping us bring our music to people all over the world. The funds will be used to purchase plane tickets for our musicians and ourselves.
