Help Beekeeper Mike Get Back on His Feet

2022 was a rough year for Beekeeper Mike. Early in the year, I was diagnosed with debilitating gout, diabetes, and worst of all, prostate cancer. During my recovery from prostate surgery, I was forced to scale back my business and my income & sales were negatively impacted. My business is lift-and-tote directly to retail grocers. This year, I decided to secure booths for the Specialty Food Show in Las Vegas in February and the Natural Product Show (Booth #712, for $10,000) in Anaheim in March. I hoped to secure large wholesale customers so my packer could ship directly and I wouldn't have to kill myself making heavy honey deliveries myself. On the morning of March 9th, the second day of the Natural Product Show, I came out of the Embassy Suites hotel to find my truck stolen. As I was making a police report, the hotel told me they had no liability for the stolen vehicle. With the inventory in the back of my truck, the cost of samples, and the cost of my truck itself, the loss was over $50,000–not to mention the loss of sales and product representation from the show.
