Hi everyone,
My name is Alexa and I am a shift supervisor at Starbucks. Over 2 years ago, we hired a barista named Barry. I am always excited for a fresh face but I was super excited for Barry to start because my boss told me Barry was in his late 70’s and I adore the elderly!
Barry lived up to his expectation of being the oldest and cutest barista in our store.
Barry loves our customers! He knows more customers by name than I can count. When customers see Barry is not working, everyone asks where and how he is.
I am actively trying to raise money for Barry due to his situation. Barry does not have any family or any help. You might also ask yourself why Barry is still working at this age and that’s because he cannot afford his bills off of just his disability check.
As we are approaching 3 years of Barry working at Starbucks, he is becoming physically exhausted and unable to preform as well as he did when he first started.
Anything will help Barry inch towards a happy and healthy retirement.
