Help Bajo live, breathe and come back home
This is a plea to all people with good heart to help me raise funds for my dear 46 year old friend Dragutin (Bajo) Dubljevic, to survive due to health complications from Coronavirus and return home to his daughter Ksenia and wife Dragana. When I heard Bajo is fighting for his life, I was deeply shaken and wanted to help raise funds for his continued treatment which would strengthen his lungs and body to be able to breathe without a ventilator until his eventual full recovery!
Bajo was written off in the intensive care of Clinical Center in Podgorica, Montenegro, his home country, where he stayed since December 4, 2020. He was deemed a case with terminal prognosis and no hope of survival. My brave friend Dragana could not accept the death prognosis and did not want to give up hope, so she secured transport of her husband Bajo to the Austrian Clinic Klagenfurt on December 26th, 2020, from her own funds. This was the only institution who wanted to accept Bajo and try saving his life.
Bajo has come a long way... from his initial lung diagnosis, through oxygen therapy, placement on a ventilator, having been in coma and suffered sepsis, organ failure and clinical death, then having been resuscitated... to finally opening his eyes and coming out of coma on January 25, 2021! Bajo still breaths with the help of the ventilator, so he is still unable to talk, but we're happy that his brain is unharmed, and he is able to communicate with doctors with his eyes and head movements. More time and therapy are needed until he can breathe on his own. Dragana no longer has the funds to continue his treatment in Austria. Transporting him back to Montenegro now, due to a lack of funds for further treatment would be devastating to his life.
Dragana has already exhausted all her funds and sources from loans to pay for his stay in the Austrian hospital until February 15th, 2021. This came to the amount of $232,416, and they can no longer fight alone without help of good-hearted people around the world. The assumption is that staying in intensive care for about a month in Austria with additional $145,000 would help Bajo start breathing without the ventilator. Then it would be safe to transfer him back to the Clinical Center in his home country Montegro, where he would stay until full recovery..
Dragutin (Bajo) is a well-known architect in Podgorica, Montenegro and has a wonderful wife Dragana and a 9 year old daughter Ksenija. I want to help this family, who is dear to my heart, be together again and share many more wonderful moments in life. I want Bajo to be with Ksenija on her high school graduation night, to walk her down the aisle on her wedding day, to enjoy his grandkids when they come to this world and grow old with Dragana. If we do not contribute to help him breathe again on his own by receiving treatment in Austrian Clinic, none of these dreams will come true for them. I don't even want to think about the fatal outcome. I firmly believe that we can help with donations as much as we can. Every dollar is not much for us, but very precious for Dragana who is bravely fighting for her husband’s life!

Molim ljude dobrog srca da pomognu u prikupljanju sredstava da moj dragi prijatelj Dragutin (Bajo) Dubljevic, rodjen 1974. godine, prezivi posledice korona virusa i vrati se kuci svojoj cerkici Kseniji i supruzi Dragani. Vest da se Bajo bori za zivot jako me potresla i zelim da pomognem u sakupljanju sredstava za nastavak lecenja kako bi se osnazila njegova pluca i organizam da prodise bez mehanickog respiratora do konacnog potpunog oporavka!
Kada je Bajo otpisan na intenzivnoj nezi KBC Podgorica, gde je boravio od 4. decembra 2020, kao slucaj sa neminovnim smrtnim ishodom, moja hrabra prijateljica Dragana nije mogla da prihvati crnu prognozu za svoga supruga i kopala je i rukama i nogama da se uhvati za slamku spasa! Obezbedila je u sopstvenom aranzmanu transport supruga Baje u Austrijsku kliniku Klagenfurt 26. decembra 2020, jedinu ustanovu koja je zelela da ga prihvati i pokusa da spase njegov zivot!
Bajo je prosao dug tromesecni put od uzasne dijagnosticke slike pluca, preko terapije kiseonikom, stavljanja na raspirator, sepse, otkazivanja organa, stanja kome, klinicke smrti, reanimacije... i konacnog otvaranja ociju i budjenja iz kome 25. januara 2021! Bajo je na mehanickom tespiratoru i ne moze jos uvek da govori, ali srecni smo da su mozdane funkcije u najboljem redu, pluca su svaki dan bolje, vitalni organi su se povratili i trenutno moze da komunicira sa doktorima pogledom i pokretima glave. Potrebno je jos vremena i terapija da bi mogao samostalno da prodise plucima. U ovom momentu transport natrag u Podgoricu, usled nedostatka novca za dalje lecenje, bio bi poguban po njegov zivot.
Dragana je iscrpela sve fondove i izvore pozajmica za dosadasnji Bajov boravak u bolnici u Austriji do 15. februara 2021, u iznosu od $232,416 i ne moze vise da se bori sama bez pomoci ljudi dobrog srca sirom sveta. Pretpostavka je da bi boravak od nekih mesec dana na intenzivnoj nezi u Austriji u iznosu od $145,000, pomogao da Bajo prodise svojom plucima, kada bi bilo bezbedno da se prebaci natrag u KBC Podgorica na dalje lecenje.
Dragutin (Bajo) je uvazeni arhitekta u Podgorici i ima divnu suprugu Draganu i devetogodisnju cerkicu Kseniju. Zelim da pomognem meni neizmerno dragoj porodici Dubljevic da ponovo bude na okupu i da dele jos puno divnih trenutaka u zivotu. Zelim da Bajo bude uz Kseniju kada za koju godinu krene na maturu, da je izvede na dan kada se bude udavala, da sa Draganom odgaja unucice....Ako ne uspemo da pomognemo da prodise samostalno daljim terapijama u austrijskoj klinici nista od njihovih snova o buducnosti nece biti ostvareno. O kobnom ishodu ne zelim ni da razmisljam. Cvrsto verujem da mozemo da pomognemo donacijama, koliko je ko u mogucnosti. Svaki dolar je mali za nas, a veoma veliki i dragocen za Draganu koja se bori suprugov zivot!
Lavovska borba Dragane da ga otrgne od sigurne smrti nikoga u regionu nije ostavila ravnodusnim! Pomozimo im da zivot pobedi!
